England women battle to hockey bronze

Australia's women won a thrilling hockey final as they beat New Zealand on penalties to take Commonwealth gold.
The match finished 2-2 in normal time with New Zealand twice coming from behind through goals from Australian duo Jessica Arrold and Ashleigh Nelson.
Equalisers from Samantha Harrison and then Clarissa Eshuis sent the match into extra time and then a Commonwealth Games 2010: Aussies win/England take third 99976Illfixit out with Arrold sealing the victory.
Earlier England's women defeated South Africa 1-0 to win bronze in Delhi.
Georgie Twigg's 13th minute goal proved enough for England with Kerry Williams also going close in the 50th minute.
Twigg deflected Crista Cullen's cross into the net but England were also thankful to keeper Beth Storry for producing a fine save before the break.
Williams had a chance of sealing victory but she fired straight at the South Africa keeper when one on one.
Storry was also called into action late on while England forward Alex Danson wasted a golden opportunity to double their lead, firing wide from close range, with Hannah Macleod also denied by the South Africa keeper.
For England the result went some way to easing the heartbreak of Monday's 1-0 semi-final loss to Australia.
It was the second bronze in a row for England, who are ranked fifth in the world, having finished third at the 2006 Melbourne Games.
"I am thrilled to score that goal," said Twigg. "They fought hard but we were solid in our defence. We are pleased to come away with the bronze in the end.
"It was disappointing to lose the semi-final (against Australia) but we had to move on and focus on winning today's game. We knew we would have to work hard for it in this heat. We now know how hard we can push ourselves."
